"RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OPENING
OF PAYROLL, ACTIVE AND INACTIVE.
ACCOUNTS AT THE BAli OF ,@IERICA
NATIONAL TRUST ~ND SAVINGS ASSOCIA
TION, BAKERSFIELD BRANCH.
WHEREAS, the Council of 'the City Of Bakersfield deems it
advisable, e~onomical and expedient to change ~he system of deposit
and.withdrawal of funds at the .BANK OF ~iERICA NATIONAL TRUST AND
SAVINGS ASSOCIATION, BAKERSFIELD BRANCH.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
- BAK~SFIELD, as'follows=
1. There'shall be opened and maintained at' the BANK. OF AMERICA
NATIONAL TRUST AND'SAVINGS ASSOCIATION,-BAKERSFIELD BRANCH, three
accounts-in the name of the CITY OF BAKERSFIELD., to be·known and
designated respectively'a~ ~AYROLL ACCOUNT~ ACTIVE ACCOUNT and IN-
ACTIVE ACCOUNT.
2. Said Bank of America, including its correspondent banks,
is hereby requested, authorized and ·directed to honor and pay all
checks drawn in the name of,*th'e"~city-.of Bakersfield, up to' and
including the sum of Fi.ve Hundrls.d Dollars (~500.00)., when such checks
bear the mechanical f~Csimile VsignatUreS oF the~City Auditor and
City Treasurer and a.re .draw~ pn the P.AYROLL or ACTIVE accounts, as
designated on said checks~
Said Bank, including its correspondent bankS, is hereby
requested, authoriz.ed and 'directed to honor and'pay all checks drawn
in the name of the City of Bakersfield, when such checks bear two
handwritten:signatures, to wit:'. that Of the City AuditOr or his
deputy authorized to sign, and. the City Treasurer or his deputy
authorized to ~ign~ when' such 'checks are drawn on the PAYROLL or
ACTIVE accounts, as designated 'on said checks. ...
4- Funds. deposited in City, s INACTIVE ACCOUNT· may be trans-
ferred to the PAYROLL or ACTIVE accounts up0nl. proper ·order or
authorization signed manually by both the'City· Tr"east~er and City
Auditor.
5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and. directed to certify
to the authenticity of the mechanical facsimile signatures and also
to the handwritten signatures of said City Treasurer and his deputy
authorized to Sign, and said City Auditor and his deputy authorized
..to sign, which said facsimile signatures ~and Said handwritten sig-
natures,. together with said certification of said City Clerk, shall
be filed with said Bank of America.
6. The City Treasurer and his duly appointed'deputy and the
City Auditor and his duly appointed deputy, are the persons hereby
authorized to issue or draw chacks upon the City as abo~e specified.
7. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified
copy o~'"this resolution to said BANK OF AMERICA NATIONAL TRUST AND
SAVINGS ASSOCIATION, BAKERSFIELDBRANCH~
I'~EREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was pa'ssed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meet-
thereof held on the I ~ da of January 19~, by .the following
