WHEREASh the governing body of any incorporated area
'~ithin the county may petition the board of supervisors of any
county which provides county funds for structural fire protection
in ~he county, for exclusion of property ~ithin the incorporated
a~eas o£ said county from the levy of ta~es fo~ such purpose~ by
reeolueion adopted by said governing body~ finding that such in~
corporated city has an organized fire department in operation and
existence which is~ at such time, providing adequate structural
fire protection to all property within much incorporated city~ and
that no addi~ional benefit is received or required by such property
from s~ruc~ural fire protection given by the county~ and
I~H~REAS~ ~his Council finds ~hat the City of BakersfieldD
a municipal corporation~ has an organized fire department in
operation and existence which is providing adequate' structural fire
protection to all property within said incorporated city~ and that
no additional benefit in fire protection is received or required
by such property from structural fire protection given by the
county o
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE ~T RESOLVED that the City of Bakers~
field does hereby petition ~he Board of Supervisors of the County
of ~ern for the exclusion of all property within the corporate
limits of the City of Bakersfield from the levy of taxes for
structural fire protection in said incorporated area for the fiscal
year 1~66o!967D and that the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to sign said petition and have the same presented to
the Board of Supervisors of the County of I~ern~
