A RESOLUTION FINDING THAT CERTAIN WEgDS GRO}~ING
ON PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD CONST!-
TUTE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING Tile
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO D'ZSTROY SAID WEEDS°
W%4EREAS ~ on November 15 ~ 1965, a public hearing was held
before the City Council in .order to determine if the property in
the City of Bakersfield located as follows had become a public
nuisance:
and
Portion of Lot 23, Southern Addition
Lot 7, Block 3, South Moorland Sub.
Lots 1-6~ Block 150
Lot l, Block ~, Lowell Park Tro
SoEo corner of 4th Street and ~T"~ Street
SoWo corner of Eo 19th and Sonora
Lots 19 and 20, Block 26
SoEo corner of Oswell and Darwin
WHEREAS, the owners of said property were duly notified
of the time and place of said hearing in accordance with the
requirements of Section ~.80 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code,
and
WHEREAS, after hearing oral testimony the City Council
determined that the weeds existing on said property are unsightly
and constitute a fire hazard which endangers adjoining properties,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1o That the City Council of the City of Bakers field
hereby finds that a public nuisance exists on the foregoing
properties.
2o That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Bakersfield is hereby directed to proceed with ~he work of abering

said public nuisance pursuant co the p=ovisions of Section 8°80 of
the Bakersfield Municipa~ Code,

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by ~he Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of November~ 1965,
by the following vote:
