WH~REAS~ a ~ritten petition% was filed with the Comncil
of the City of Bakersfield~ requesting, that certain inhabited
territory therein described be annexed to the City of Bakersfield~
and~
WI{EREAS~ by Resolution Noo 57~65~ the Council of the City
of Bakers field declared its intention to call a special election
in certain inhabited territory contiguous to said city proposed to
be annexed to said city~ for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified electors residing in said territory the question whether
or not said territory shall be annexed to said city~ and setting
forth a time and place of hearing protests against said proposed
electton~ and
WHEREAS~ a copy of said resolution was published as
required by law~ and
~EEREAS~ October 18, 1965~ at the hour of 8:00 Po Mo was
the time se~ for hearing protests and a majority protest has not
been made by any person owning property within the aforesaid
territory ~ and
WMEREAS~ all proceedings have been had in accordance with
the Annexation Act of 1913~ reference thereto being made for further
particulars °
~q~ TMEI~MFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield~ as follows: ._.

passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersf~eld at a
