A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFXELD DECLARING THAT A FLAJORITY PROTEST
HAS NOT BEEN F~DE TO THE ANNEXATION OF TER_RI-
TORY DESIGNATED AS SAGE NOo 1 PROPOSED TO BE
ANNEXED TO THE ClTJ OF BAKERSF!ELDo
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Government Code of the State
of California, Sections 35300 and following~ proceedings have been
instituted for the annexation of certain territory designated as
~Sage No, 1'~ and
WHEREAS~ pursuant to such proceedings a petition was
signed and filed for such annexation, a resolution adopted
describing boundaries of the territory sought to be annexed~ publi~
cations had on said resolution and a time adopted for hearing of
protests from persons o~ming real property in said territory,
and
I~REASD a hearing was duly held in the Council Chambers
of the City Mall in the City of Bakersfield on the 23rd day of
August, 1965~ at the hour of eight o'clock p.m. pursuant to notices
given in compliance with law~ and
WMEREAS~ August 23~ 1965, at the hour of 8:00 Po M. was
the time set for hearing protests by any person owning property
within the aforesaid territory~
NOWs TEEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That at the time set for hearing protests to the proposed
annexation and at the time to which said hearing was held a majority
protest has not been made by private o~ners of one-half the value
of the territory proposed to be annexed~ as show~ by the last
equalized assessment roll~ or by public and private owners equal
to oneshalf of the value of said territory~ said property being
d_esignate~.as_'~Sage Noo 1'~ and more Rarticularly described in
Resolution Noo 34~65 of the City of Bakersfield,
