A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE C~'A'Y
OF BAKERSFIELD F~ND~NGAND DECLARING
THAT A MAJORIIY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN
MADE AGAINST THE ANNEXATION OF MING NO. 3
TO T~E C~T~ OF B, AI<ERSF~ELDo
WHEREASs a written petition was filed with the Council
of the City of Bakersfield~ requesting that certain inhabited
territory therein described be annexed to.the City of Bakersfield,
WHEREAS, by Resolution Noo 40o65~ the Council of the City
of Bakersfield declared its intention to call a special election
+in certain inhabited territory contiguous to said city proposed to
be annexed to said city~ for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified electors residing in said territory the question whether
or not said territory shall be annexed ~0 said city, and setting
forth a time and place of hearing protests aSainst said proposed
etection~ and
WHEREAS~ a copy of said resolution was published as
required by la~ and
WHEREAS~ August 23~ 1965, at the hour of 8:00 Po Mo ~3as
the time set for hearing protests and no written or oral protests
were made by any person owninE property within the aforesaid
territory~ and
~HEREAS~ a~l proceedings have been had in accordance with
the z%nne:~ation Act of 1913~ reference thereto being made for further
particulars.
NOW~ TSEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield~ as follo~s:
Tha~ at the ~ime set for hearing protests to the proposed
election and at the time to which said hearing ~as held a majority
protest has not been made by private owners of oneshalf the value
of the terri~o~7 proposed to be anmexed~ as shown by the ,last
equalized assessment roll~ or by public and private owners equal
to one-half of the value of said territory°

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of August~ 1965~ by
the following vote:
