A RESOLUTXON OF THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL
PROPERTY WlTMIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS
"~UNION NO, 2'~ PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO
TEE CXTY OF BAKERSF~ELD~ CAL~FORN~Ao
WEEREAS~ a petition was filed with the Council of the City
of Bakersfield on the llth day of Augus~ 1965~ requesting that
certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and
incorporated within the City of Bakersfield~ and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the Sole owner'of
the territory proposed to be annexed°
NOW~ THEREFOREp in compliance with the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 19399 Chapter 297, as
amended~ BE IT HESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield~
as follows ~
That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern~ State of California~
and being a portion of the SoWo 1/4 of Section 20~ Township 29 South
Range 28 East, MoD.Mo~ and more particularly defined as ~EXCEPT~ON NOo
of that Special Election to annex the Alta Vista Tract area which
was held ohM arch 20~ 1923m the result of. which was filed March 289
1923o~ with the Secretary of State, said Exception No. 1 being
described as the following:
'~EXCEPTION NO~ 1: Commencing a~ the southwesterly corner
of said quarter section; running thence northerly, along the ~esterly
boundary line of said quarter section~ a distance of 417o42 feet~
thence at a right angle easterly 417o42 feet~ thence at a right
angle southerly 417o42 feet to a point on the southerly boundary
line of said quarter section~ and thence westerly along said last
named line, 417.42 feet to the point of beginning~ and containing
4~00 acres of land~ more or lesso . ..............

BE ~T FEJR~R RESOLVED~ that Monday9 the 20th day of
September, 19659 at the hour of eight o~clock PoMo, in the Council_

California~ is ~he time when and the place where any person
Teal property within such territory so proposed'to be annexed and
having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before
~%e Council of the gity of Bakersfield and show cause why such
te~zt~o~y should not be annexed°
I ~EREBY CERTIFY that the foregoimg Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on.the 23rd day of Augus.t~ X965~ by
