RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA,
ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ESTIMATES AND DISTRICT
MAPS FOR CERTAIN ACQUISITIONS AND
IMPROVEMENTS.
(Public Improvement District No. 801)
WHEREAS, this City Council proposes to take proceed-
ings under the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 (commencing
with Section 10000, Streets and Highways Code) for the
acquisition of certain street easements and the acquisition of
other lands, rights of way, or property necessary to provide
for drainage, and to improve certain streets within the City of
Bakersfield and within unincorporated territory of the County
of Kern,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Bakersfield DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the City Engineer of said city be
and he hereby is authorized and directed to prepare and furnish
plans and specifications, careful estimates of the costs and
expenses of acquisitions and improvements for the following
proposed acquisitions and improvements:
The widening of portions of Planz Road between Hughes
Lane and South H Street;
The improvement of Planz Road by the construction of
certain curbs, gutters, paving, driveway entrances, and drainage
facilities;
The widening of portions of White Lane between E1
Portrero Lane and South H Street;
The improvement of White Lane by the construction of
certain curbs, gutters, paving, driveway entrances, median
islands, storm drain facilities, and ornamental street lighting
facilities;

The opening of Hughes Lane between Planz Road and
White Lane and the widening of Hughes Lane between White Lane
and Pacheco Road;
The improvement of Hughes Lane between Planz Road and
Pacheco Road by the construction of curbs, gutters, paving,
driveway entrances, median islands, storm drain, and ornamental
street lighting facilities; and
In connection with the foregoing, the construction and
installation of sanitary sewer facilities, railway crossing pro-
tection facilities, traffic signals, culverts for existing irri-
gation canals, landscaping, and any other appurtenancss and
appurtenant work necessary or convenient for'any of the improve-
ments hereinbefore described.
Section 2. The City Engineer.of said city is further
authorized and instructed to prepare a map showing the boundaries
of the district to be benefited by the above described acquisitions
and improvements and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses
thereof.
