RESOLUTION NO. 38-65
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT THE
PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND
THE ACQUISITION' AND CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT
AND MAKING FINDINGS RELATING THERETO.
TheCity Council of the City of' Bakersfield,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest and neces-
sitydemand the acquisition.and construction by Said city
of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: additions to
and improvements of the sewage collection and disposal
system of said .city including trunk sewers and sewage treat-
ment facilities and the acquisition of all. lands, easements,
pipe, pumps, machinery and other property necessary therefor.
That the estimated cost of said municipal improve-
ment is $ 3,525,000 . That said municipal improvement
requires an.expenditure.greater~han.the.amO~n~a~!OW~d._fo
it by the annual tax levy and is necessary and convenient.
to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of said city.
Section 2 . That the public' interest and
necelssity demand the acquisition and 'cOnstruction by
said city of a certain municipal improvement, to wit:
additions to the fire fighting system of the city including a
fire station and including the acquisition of any real property,
furniture, fixtures, fire fighting tools, apparatus, equipment
and other property necessary therefor.
That the estimated Cost of said municipal improve-
ment is $ 125,000 . That said municipal improvement
requires an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for
it by'the annual tax levy and is necessary andconvenlent
to carry out the objects., purposes and powers of said'city.
