A KESOLUTION OF T~E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TYME AND PLACE FOR HEARING
PKOTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPEKTY WITHIN
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "SAGE NO. l"~ PROPOSED
TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELDo
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the
City of Bakersfield on the 12th day of Juty~ 196~, requesting that
certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and
incorporated within the City of Bakersfield~ and
WHE~S~ said petition was signed by the owners of not
less' than one°fourth (1/4} of the area of the land in such
and representing not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the
assessed value of such territory according to the last preceding
equalized assessment roll-of the County of Kern°
NOW~ T~EHEFORE~ in compliance with the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939~ Chapter 297, as
amended, BE IT t~SOLVED by the Council of the City of BakersfleldD
as follows:
That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows:
A 'parcel of land situate in the County of Kern~'State of California,
and being a portion of the southwest quarter (SoWol/4) of Section
1~ and a portion of the northwest quarter (NoWol/4) of Section
Township 29 South~ P~ange 28 East~ MoDoM:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the current corporate
boundary of the City of Bakersfield as defined by Ordinance
New Series and the northerly prolongation of the westerly
of Tract Noo 1926~ as said westerly boundary is shown o~ the map
of Tract Noo 1926 recorded June 6~ 1957 in Book 9 of Maps at pare
143 in the office of the County Recorder of said ~ern County, said
corporate boundary 5ein~ 55 feet northerly of and parallel with
the sou~h line of said Section
southerly departing from the corporate boundary, along
said northerly prolongation and along the westerly
bounda~7 o£ said Tract No. 1928 Co intersect the
westerly prolonaation of the southerly boundary o~
of the eas~-~qest alley (said southerly boundary being
the north lines of Lots 4 ticrough 11) in said Tract
Noo 1926;
easterly along said ~es~e~ly prolongation and along
southerly boundary of said eamt~west alley to in~er~ect
~he southerly prolongation of the easterly boundary of
the mos~ easterly north~south alley (said easterly
boundary being the west lines of Lots 1 and 3) in said

northerly. along the said southerly prolongation and along
the easterly boundary of last named north-south alley
to intersect the south line of the north 120 feet of
Lot 1 of said Tract Noo 1926~ said point of inter~ection
being the southwest colder of a parcel of land demcribed
by a grant deed to Veedol Realty Compa~ny recorded
July F~ 1960~ in Book 3281 at page 752 of the Official
Records of said Kern Coumty~
easterly along the south line of last named grant deed
and along the easterly prolongation thereof to intersect
a north~south prolongation of the east right of Ray line
of Nelson Street~ of 60 feet in width, as said Nelson
S~reet is sho~m on the map of Tract Noo 1282 recorded
July 25~ 1~6~ in Book 5 of M~ps at page 156 in ~he
office of the said County Recorder~

being a point on the southerly boundary of an eas~

real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and
