A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
AMENDING THE SELECT SYSTEM AND REQUESTING T~HE
AMENDED SYSTEM BE APPROVED BY THE
CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Section 186.3 of the Statutes of 1963 provides
for the establishment of a select system of City streets and County roads
for the purpose of expending thereon funds apportioned to the cities and
counties from the State Highway Fund and the expenditure of matching
funds from other sources;
AND WHEREAS, said Section 186.3 also provides that such
select systems may be amended from time to time;
AND ~ArHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
did by Resolution No. 59-64 on September 28, 1964 establish a select
system;
AND WHEREAS, the California Highway Commission did by
ResolutiOn No. SS-226 on November 18, 1964 approve the system established
by the City;
AND WHEREAS, this City Council does now find that the system
should be amended in accordance with a map and report dated Iuly 12, 1965,
which has been submitted by the City Engineer for review;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the select system be
amended as shown on the map and report dated Iuly 12, 1965;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the California Highway Commission
is hereby requested to approve the amended system and the City Clerk is
directed to transmit four copies of the map, report and this resolution to the
District Engineer of the Division of Highways for transmittal to the California
Highway Commis sion.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 12th day of July ,
by the following vote:
