A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF-THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD' COMMENDING THE PARENT-YOUTH
LEAGUE AND ENDORSING THE PUBLICATION, ."FACTS ..
FOR FAMILIES", '
WHEREAS, the Parent-Youth League +of Greater B~kersfield
has fostered discussion groups betWeen parentS'andstudents to set
'up guidelines on acceptable behavior patterns'forYou~h, and
WHEREAS,. the guide is not intended to interfere'·with
.individual family'relationships but to Strengthen'the relationship
based upon high levels 'of morality, and ·
· WHEREAS, the guidelines are to be.contained.ina publication
called~';"'F~cts For Families",
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by .the CoUncil of 'the City
of Bakersfield, .
That the Parent-Youth League of Greater Bakersfield is
commended fo.r its eifortsin making possible community wide discussions
aimed at maintenance of acceptable standardS~: decline of the-d~linquent
jure'nile-and a positive approach toward acceptable acti~ities~.
That the. booklet,-"Facts for Families"~ is 'recOmmended'.
as a useful reference for parents+'and Youths.to better achieve the
goals sought .by the Parent-Youth League...'
