RESOLUTION CALLING THE NOMINATING MUNICIPAL
ELECTION FOR THE OFFICE OF COUNCILMAN IN THE
1ST, 3RD, 4THAND 7TH WARDS AND AN ELECTION
FOR TWO MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF
THE BAKERSFIELD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO BE
HELD IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ON THE 2ND
DAY OF MARCH, 1965, AND DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF ELECTION.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Charter, the City Clerk shall
certify a list of candidates for the offices of City Council and
Board of Education; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter provides further that the Council
shall cause said certified list to be filed and published in a
proclamation .calling the election; and
WHEREAS, said Nominating Election has been set for the
2nd day of March, 1965.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, that the Nominating Municipal Election for the
office of Councilmen in the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th Wards of the City
of Bakersfield and for the office of two members of the Board of
Education is hereby called and will be held on the 2nd day of
March, 1965, and the clerk is hereby authorized to publish the
Notice of Election.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day of January, 1965, by
the following vote:
