W~EREAS~ the Planning Commission of the City of Bakers=
fields didD on the 2nd day of December~ 1964, pass a resolution
finding that the inclusion of additional uses~ to wit~ Car WashD
Automatic Car Wash and Coin Operated Car Wash~ in a C~2 (Commercial}
Zone. would not be more obnoxious or detrimental to the welfare of
the community than the permitted uses specifically mentioned in
Chapter 17o27 of Title Seventeen of the Bakersfield Municipal
CodeD and
%~{E~S, the Council of the City ofBakersfield has
considered said matter and does find that the inclusion of said
additional uses in said zone will not be more obnoxious or detri~
mental to the welfare of the community than the permitted uses
specifically mentioned in Chapter 17o27 of Title Seventeen of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code, and
NOWD T~EREFORE~ pursuant to Section 17o52o040 of Title
Seventeen of the Bakersfield Municipal Code~ the Council of said
City doe~ ~EREBY RESOLVE that the additional uses~ to wit~ Car
Wash~ Automatic Car Wash and Coin Operated Car Wash~ be and the
same are hereby included as specifi=ally permitted uses in a
{Commercial) Zone°

passed and adopted by the Council of the Cf~y of Bakersfield at a

OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD TO INCLUDE CAR WASH, AUTO-
MATIC CAR WASH, AND COIN OPERATED CAR WASH TO
THE LIST OF PERMITTED USES IN THE C-2 (COMMER-
CIAL) ZONE.
WHEREAS, at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of November, 1964, the
Planning Commission considered a request of the Planning Department to include car
wash, automatic car wash, and coin operated car wash to the list of permitted uses
in the C-2 (Commercial) Zone.
and
WHEREAS, at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of December, 1964, the
Planning Commission determined that a car wash, automatic car wash, and coin operated
car wash were similar to those uses listed in the C-2 (Commercial) Zone and no more
obnoxious or detrimental to the welfare of the community than the permitted uses speci-
fically mentioned in the C-2 (Commercial) Zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY'THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD that, pursuant to Section 17.52,040 of the Municipal Code, City of Bakers-
field, that the inclusion of additional uses to-wit:
CAR WASH, AUTOMATIC CAR WASH, OR COIN OPERATED CAR WASH
in a C-2 (Commercial) Zone will not be more obnoxious or detrimental to the welfare of
the community than the permitted uses specifically mentioned in Section 17.52,040 of
the Municipal Code, City of Bakersfield.
