A ·RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY. OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING
RESOLUTION.NO. 2'5-63.
WHEREAS, experience' has dictated ·that there be a change
in'Resolution No. 25-63 respecting ticket service in the Civic
AuditOrium,' · '.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED-by the CoUncil of the City
of Bakersfield that Resolution N0.25-637be'and the same.is-hereby
'amended to read as follows': ·.
-.~ WHEREAS, there is an urgent' need for a.reliable ticket
service a't the civic Auditorium of'the 'City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS',·such a ticket service-would enable the'
management of the Civic Auditorium to keepaB accurate check.on all
seats .sold, and. - .
-· WHEREASI, such a ticket service'~ouldprovide a help'to
various-groups and organizations who wish to. use the facilities'
of the CiVic. Auditorium as an advance ticket sales Office.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council/of the
'City of Bakersfield that, when requested, the City of Bakersfield
shall, by means 'of Civic Auditorium personnel, sell advance tickets
..for a minimum fee of fifty.dollars ($50.00) for a si~-day period
.(which includes the day·of the event). Said·'fifty dollar fee.to.'
include the services Of one ticket seller. Additional' personnel
furnished by the City on special request to be compenSated'to the
City at the rate of two dollars ($2'~00)per ~our per ticket'seller.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED.that in the 'event that a sponsor
or prOmOter of an event held at the CiviC' A~ditorium, elects not
to use the advance ticket sales servi~e 'of the CiViC Au~{~orium,
the box dffice at the Civic'Auditorium may. be'rented at the rate
of two dollars per hour with'a minimum charge of~$5.00 per day
· for a period in advance of the event., operational..hours and. days.
'to be determined by the Civic .Auditorium Manager.' The 'rental','
fee in such case shall notinclude box offiCepersonnel. On the.
day of the event there shall 'be no charge for use of the box

: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED" that regular bOx office"h0urs, ~
when operated under the provisions of this r~SolUtion, will be
maintained.between 9:00 A.M..and 5:00 P.M., Mondays-through
SatUrdays., excluding City.hoi{days; and that on the date of the
pr0moter's eyent,"the box office ~ill remain open continuously from
9:00 A.M. ~ntil one hour after the. opening time of the event. .-
