'WHEREAS, pursuant to the GOvernment Code· of .'the State of California, Sections 35300 and.~following, proceedings have been instituted for 'the annexati0n..of Certain territory designated as "Brundage No ~ 1", and WHEREAS, pursuant to such proceedings a petition was signed and filed for such annexation, a 'resolUtion adopted describing boundaries of the terri.tory soughe to be annexed; publications had on said-resolution'.and'a time adopted for hearing of protests from'persons owni~g reai property in. said territory, and' " WHEREAS, a hearing was duly' he ld in the- Counci 1 Chambers of the City Hall in the City of Ba'kersfie·ld, the 6th day of July, 1964, at the hour o.f eight o'clock p..m. pursuant to notices given in compliance with law, and -.
