A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE 'CITY.OF
BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING
PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "BRUNDAGE NO. 1", PRO-'
POSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the
City of Bakers field on the 14th 'day'Of'May,-1964, requesting that
certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and
incorporated wi'[hin the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, said petition was 'signed. by the owners of not
less 'than one-fourth ('1/4).of the area of the. land in such
territory, and representing not 'less than one-fourth (1/4) of the
assessed value of such territory according to the 'last preceding
equalized assessment. roll of the, County of Kern.
NOW~ THEREFORE, in compliance' with .the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as
amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,

That the boundaries of the territory_ so proposed to be
annexed to the City of Baker'sfield are 'described as' follows:
A parcel of land situate in the county of Kern, State' Iof California,,
and being a portion of Section 36, Township 29 South, Range 27
East, M.D .M., and Section. 1, Township 30 Southe' Range' 27 East,
M.D .M.;
Beginning' at the southwest~ co'rner of Lot .i3, Block. 10, 1 of the Goode
Tract as said lot is shown on the Map of the "Goode 'Tract" recorded
May 2, 1910, in Book 1 of Maps-at page 144'in the office of the
· County Recorder of said Kern County,. the south iine of said Lot 13
being the northerly boundary line of. Bellevue .Road, 'alSo known. as
Brundage Lane, of 60 feet in width;

easterly, along the said nOr:therly boundary of Brundage
Lane, being parallel with, distant 30 feet northerly
as measured perpendicular to the southerly boundary

easterly boundary of said Lot 4, 'on and along the
current corporate boundary as defined by Ordinance-
No. 1348 New Series, to intersect the northerly boundary
line of Brite Street, of 60 feet. in width .and also known
as County of Kern Road No. 1467, said northerly
boundary line of Brite Street being· parallel with,
distant 30 feet northerly as measured perpendicular to
the southerly boundary of said Lot 4;
westerly, depar'ting from the said current .corporate
boundary, along the northerly and westerly exterior
boundary of said Brite .Street to a point'in the said

westerly.along the lot lines and extensions thereof
to the northwest corner of Lot 2, of said Tract No.

Iwesterly boundary of said Tract No. 1402;

boundary of Brundage Lane and the westerly boundary of

to intersect the southerly prolongation of· the easterly
boundary of "A" Street of 82.5 feet in width;
THENCE (19) northerly along said ~outherly prolongation of "A" Street,
to the .southwest corner of Lot 13, Block 10,-of the'Goode
Tract, being the point 'of beginning and containing 21.68
acres of land more or less.
BE .IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Monday, the 6th day of July,
1964~ at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., .in the'·Council Chambers
of ~the City-Hall, 1501 Truxtun 'Avenue.r, Bakersfield, California,
the time'when and the' place where iany person owning real property
within such Lerritory so proposed to.:be annexed and.having any
objectionS"to t~e proposed annexation may a'ppear before the Council
of the ,City of Bakersfield and show cause why such territory shouid
not' be annexed.
