RESOLUTION NO. t-64
RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA,
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE DOING OF
THE WORK IN THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION
AND PAVING OF STREETS, INSTALLATION OF CURBS,
BUTTERS AND SIDEWALKS AND THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A CULVERT IN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 777, IN SAID CITY AND THE COUNTY OF KERN,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield did in open
session this date publicly open, examine and declar.e all sealed proposals
or bids for
doing the following work in said City, to-wit:
Construction and Paving of streets, installation of
curbs, gutters and sidewalks and the construction
of a culvert in Public Improvement District No. 777,
portions of which are in the City of Bakersfield and
portions of which are in the County of Kern; reference
is hereby made to the plans, specifications and map
of the Public Improvement District No. 777, all as
amended, on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of Bakersfield., which documents show the
location and extent of the aforesaid work.
WHEREAS, all of said bids having been duly considered by said
City Council, and it appearing to the said City Council, and said City
Council hereby finds that the lowest regular responsible bidder for the
doing of said work is Phoenix Construct ion Company
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Bakersfield, that said City Council does hereby reject all of said
proposals or bids except the next herein mentioned and does hereby
award the contract for the doing of said work and said in~provement to
the lowest regular responsible bidder, to-wit:
-Phoenix Construct ion Company
at the prices named in said bidder's proposal or bid.
That the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield is hereby directed
to publish notice of such award twice in the "Bakersfield Californian",
a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circu-
lated in said City of Bakersfield, California, hereby designated for that
purpose by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield, all in the manner

and form provided by law, and the City Clerk is directed to record
said notice in the Office of the Kern County Recorder, California.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield on the 13th
day of January, 1964, by the following vote:
