WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
has determined that public convenience and necessity re-
quire the inst~ilation of curbs, gutters, sidewalks and the
construction of a culvert and the paving of streets in
proposed Public Improvement District No. 777; and
WHEREAS, the said City 6ouncil by a vote greater of
four-fifths of its members have waived the provisions of
the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority
Protest Act of 1931" and'
WHEREAS, this 6ity Council contemplates that said
improvement work and construction be instigated under and
in pursuance of the "Improvement Act of 1911", as contained
in the Streets and Highways Code of the Stat~ of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City'of Bakersfield that the City Engineer of said City
be, and he is hereby ordered and directedto prepare an
estimate of cost of the improvements, a map of the district
to be benefited, and plans and specifications for the im-
provement work to be done between Planz Road and Julian Avenue
and on Julian Avenue, all as anticipated in the above
mentioned Resolutions.
That all of the above improvement work and construction
shall 'be of the sizes and.dimensions and done in the manne~ _
and places and to the grades as shown and indicated on the
plans and specifications therefor to be approved and adopted
by this City Council of the City of Bakersfield.
I HEREBY CERTI3Y that the foregoing Resolution was
duly passed and"ad0pted by the City Council of the City.
of Bakersfield on the 16th day of September, 1963, by
the following vote:
