BAKERSFIELD, ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
· PORTION OF COUNTY ROAD NO. 263 IN THE
" .CITY OF BAEERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of August, 1963, the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, pursuant to .the ·provisions of .the. "Street 'Vaca-
tion Act of 19.41,"' being Division 9, Part 3, .of the Streets and High-.
ways Code of the State of California', passed and adopted.. its Resolu-
tion of. ·Intention No. 785, declaring its intention to order the.
vacation of a" portion of County Road No.' 263, City of Bakersfield,
California, and :
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place .for hearing all
persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation, which
-',aid. hearing was held on the 3rd .day' of September,. 1963', 'after notices
were duly posted as. required by law, and .. '. .'.
WHEREAS, this Council after 'duly' considering the'matter,. does
hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that portion of County Road No. 263, (being the
PortiOn of Road No. 263 annexed to .the City of Bakersfield by
Ordinance No. 1.479 New Series, and 'shown on the. map'of Tract No. 2815
recorded July 1'8, 1963, in Book 13 of Maps at pages 170 thrOUgh 17.4
in the office of'the County Recorder of K.ernj County, California),.
situate in the City of Bakersfield', County of Kern,[ st'ate of california,
more particularly described as follows, is unnecessary for present or
prospective public~ street purposes:
All of that portion of County Road No. 263 granted to the..
. County of'Kern in deed dated JanUary ll, 1908, and recorded
in Book 199 at page 56 of Deeds in the Official Records of
said Kern County lying southerly of the southwes.terlE right
· of Way line of U. S. Highway 99 (State Route. Vr-Ker- -C)
