A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL= OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ADOPTING AND SETTING FORTH
A PAY PLAN PURSUANT TO .THE ADOPTION OF A
NEW POSITION CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND THE
SALARY 'ORDINANCE DATED JULY 29, 1963.
WHEREAS, as a part o£ the position. classification plan
submitted"by the PubIic Administration Service, adopted by each of
thS' Civil Service Commissions o~- the City .o~ Bakersfield, and'adopted
by the Council o£ the City o~ 'Bakersfield, +the'. Public Administration
Service' has. prepared a proposed pay plah,
WHEREAS, ..said proposed pay plan has been appr0ved by a
majority o~ the Governmental Ef£iciency Committee o~ the City Council
o~ the City o~ Ba~ers~ield, '
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED by the Ci~ty COuncil of the
City o~ Bake'rs~ield 'that the City Manager and the Audit'or-ContrOller
o~ the 'City~'0~ BakerS'~ield are instructed to institute the proposed
;..pay plan recomended by a majority O~ the Governmental E~iciency
~Comittee o~ the City Council o~' the~ City o~ Bakers~ield upon thirty
(3~)~ days a~ter :the enacting by this Council 0~ Ordinance No. 1490
New Series when-said ordinance goes into 'effect.
~- BE' IT F~ER RESOL~D tha~ the pay plan as set ~orth in
this resolution shall'be retroactive t0 JUly 1, 1963. No 'emplOyee
~i~?hall lose t~e credit already attained lor salary, advancement in
"' his range as a result ol the adoption' oi this resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 29th day of July, 1963, by the
following vote:
