A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD FINDING AND DECLARING THAT A
MAJORITY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE AGAINST
THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY' DESIGNATED AS
"WESTCHESTER NO. 1' -PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED'
TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
" WHEREAS, purSUant to the .'GovernmeAt Code of the State
of California, Sections 35300 and following, proceedings have been
instituted for the annexation of .certain territory-designated as
"Westchester No. 1," and
WHEREAS', pursuant to such proceedings a petition.was
signed and filed for such annexation, a.'resolution adopted
describing boundaries 'o'f the territory sought .Co be annexed,
publications had on said resolution and a'time adopted for: hearing
of protests-from persons owning rea'i property in Said territory,
and
WHEREAS, a hearing was duly held in" the .Council'Chambers
of the City Hall in the City Of Bakersfield,-the 27th ..day of May,
1963, at the hour of eight o'clock p.m. pursuant to notices given
in compliance with law, and" .., '
WHEREAS, at said hearing 'a majOrity. protest was not. made
by .perSons'owning property within the af0.resai.d territory;
· NOW, .THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by-the Council of the
.City of Bakersfield that said Cit~"CoUnCil 'finds 'and re. Solves that
a majority protest: has not been made against the annexation of. real
. Iproperty to the City of Bakers field.,' said property .being' designated
· 'as 'WestcheSter' No. 1" and more particularly described in
Resolution No. 30-63 of the City of.'Baker'sfield'.
