MADE TO THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIG~· ..
NATED..AS SEARS ,NO. 1 PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED ~.
'TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. "
WHEREAS,. pursuant to the Government Code of the State '.
of California, Sections 3,5300 and following, prqCeedings have been
instituted for the annexation of certain territory designated as
"Sears· No. 1," and

'.WHEREAS, pursuant to such' proceedings 'a petition was
signed and filed for such annexatioln~ a resolution'adopted
describing ·boundaries of thej territory 'sought to 'be 'annexed,.'
publications had on said resOlutiOn and a time adopted for 'hearing
of pro-tests from persons· owning real property in 'said territory~

WHEREAS, a hearing waS. duly ·held in the-Council Chambers
of the City Hall in the City of Bakersfield,·' the 29'th .day. of April,
1963,· at the hour of eight o'clock.· p.m. phrsuant to notices given
in compliance with. law,. and
WHEREAS, at said hearing nO written or oral 'protests
'were made by any person owning property within the. aforesaid
territory; .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 'RESOLVED by the Council 'of the
City of Bakers field that;
Said City Council finds and resolves that no protest
has been made to the annexation of real. property to 'the City 'of
Bakersfield,. '.said property being designated as "Sears' No. 1" and'
