A RESOLUTION OF ,THE COUNCIL OF THE" CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD INCORPORATING RECOM-
MENDATIONS SUBMITTED IN CONNECTION WITH
ADVANCE. TICKET SALES OFFICE AT THE. CIVIC
AUDITO RIUM.
WHEREAS, thereis an urgent need for a reliable ticket
service at the CiVic Auditorium of the City of Bakersfield, and
" WHEREAS,' such a ticket service would enable the
management-of the. Civic Auditorium to keep an accurate check On all
seats sold, and' ~ .
' WHEREAS, such'a ticket service would pro.vide a help to
various groups and organizations whowish.to use,the facilities
of their:Civic Auditorium as an advance .tiCket sales office.
NOW, THEREFORE', BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
.City of .BakerSfield that, when requested, the City of Bakersfield
shall, by means of Civic Auditorium personnel, sell advance tickets
for a minimum fee' of fifty dollars ($150.00) for a ten-day period
.(which includes the day of the event).., Said' fifty dollar fee.'to
include the .'services 'of one ticket seller. · Additional personnel
furnished by the City on special request to be compensated to the
City at the rate of two dollars ($2.00) per hour per ticket
seller.
BE IT'FURTHERRESOLVED thatin'the'event that· a sponsor
or promoter of'an event held at the Civic Auditorium, elects not
to use the advance ticket sales service of the Civic AUditorium,
the box office at the Civic Auditorium may be rented at the rate
of two dollars per hour with a minimum charge of $5.00 per day
for a period in advance of. the event, operational hours and days
to be determined by the Civic Auditorium Manager', The rental
fee in such case shallnot include box. office personnel. On the
day of .the" event there shall"be no:charge for use of the box
office.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that regular ,b6x office hours,
when operated Under the provisions of. this resolution, will be
maintained between 10:00 A.M. and 6:00 'P.M., Mondays through.
"Saturdays; and that on the date .of' the promoter.' s e~ent., the .box
.office will:remain open continuously from 10:00 A~.M.. until one hour
after the opening time of the event.
