RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO iNCLUDE WITHIN .THE ·
GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF 'GRADE DISTRICT
CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "WESTCHESTER NO.
2," AND SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR' HEARING
OBJECTIONS TO THE INCLUSION OF SAID TERRITORY
WITHIN SAID DISTRICT. '
WHEREAS, proceedings have 'been commenced· for the annexation
of certain unincorporated territory, designated.as "Westchester
No. 2," to the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS,' all of said territory lies outside the Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and
WHEREAS, Section 8290of the Streets .and Highways Code
of the State of California, provides that the unincorporated
territory of a county which was.not included within a'separation
~ of grade district at the time of the ·formation of such district,
and which subsequent to the formation of such district is annexed
to or. otherwise included within a city which is a part of such
district, shall immediately upon· such annexation to such city be
included within the district and shall thereafter. become a part of
the district to the same extent as such city; except such portion
or portions thereof which th'e City Council has determined, ·will
not be benefitedby inclusion in the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
1. That a description of the unincorporated territory
described in the annexation proceedings, iS as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California,
and being a portion of Sections 25 and 26, Township 29 South,
Range 27 East, M.D.M:

Stre.et, of 82.5 feet in width, as said Oak Street is shown on the
"Map of the City of Bakersfield" recorded'NOvember 25, 1898, in
Book 1 of'Maps at pages 13 and 14 in 'the office of the County
Recorder of said Ker~ County and theI northerly right of way line"
of the State Highway - District VI, Ker 58, Section L, said' inter-
section being a point in the current corporate boundary of the
City of Bakersfield;

N.73°25' 20"W., departing from the corporate boundary,
· 360.61 feet along the said northerly right of way line;
N.32°ll'20"E., 283.48 'feet;
N.52°01'10"E., 249.43 feet, more or less, to intersect,
the said east line of Oak Street, being a point on the
current corporate '. boundary;

S.0°13'50"W., along the said· corporate boundary, 496.30
feet to the point of beginning and containing 2.246
acres of land more or less.
2. .That.unless any portion shall be excluded by the City
'CounCil, all portions of said. unincorporated territory' Shall upon
annexation to the City, of Bakersfield' be included within the Greater
Bakers field Separation of Grade District. "
· 3. ~That Monday, the 29th day 'of Aprily 1963', at the hour
ofeight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California,:is the time when and
the place where,.objections to inclusion.within the district will
be heard;

I'HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ResolutiOn was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on t~e 18th day'of March, "1963, by
