· A RESOLUTION OF THE' COUNCIL OF T~E CITY OF
.BAKERSFIELD ESTABLISHING COMMERCIAL RATES
TO BE CHARGED THE PUBLIC BY OPERATORS OF THE
,ICE SKATING FACILITIES AT THE CIVIC AUDI-
TORIUM. ·
WHEREAS, the Civic Auditorium of the City of Bakersfield
contains facilities for an ice skating rink, 'and
WHEREAS, the 'public use. of said ice skating rink is a
matter to, be promoted by 'the City Council of the City of Bakers-
fie ld ,. and
WHEREAS, certain commercial operators of public ice'
skating rinks have expressed a desire to .o. perate the ice' skating
'rink in the Civic Auditorium of the City of Bakersfield,· and
WHEREAS, public convenience and-neCessity require that
the charges' tO be made of' the public for'use of these facilities
should be fixed and regulated at a 'moderate figure'..
'NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT'RESOLVED*by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that the rates to be 'charged the public by any
operator. Of the public ice skating rink in 'the Civic' Auditorium
of the City of Bakersfield shall be as 'fOllows:
Adults (anyone'over the age of·~18 years) One Dollar
($1.00)
Intermediates or Juniors '(anyone 0f"'the age
· , of 13 through 17) Seventy'five Cents ($0,75)
Children (ages 12 and unde,r) Fifty Cents' ($0.,50)
'HoUrly rental 'to private skating par'ties
Seventy-five Dollars ($75,00) per hour for' the first
· . 100 people -- Fifty Dollars ($50,'00) per hour for each
additional 100 people or portion thereof,
Hourly rental to private hockey Sessions ·, ··
Twenty Dollars (20,00) per hour

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was-

regular meeting thereof held on the llth' day of February, 1963, by
