RESOLUTION CALLING THE NOMINATING MUNICIPAL·
ELECTION FOR THE OFFICE OF COUNCILMAN IN THE
2ND, 5TH IND 6TH WARDS AND AN ELECTION FOR
THREE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF
THE BAKERSFIELD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO BE
HELD IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ON THE 26TH
DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1963, AND'DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF'ELECTION.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Charter, the City Clerk
shall certify a list of candidates for the offices of City' Council
and Board of Education; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter provides further that 'the
.Council shall· .cause said certified list to be filed and published
in a proclamation calling the election; and
WHEREAS, said.Nominating Election'has been set for' the
26th day of February, 1963.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the .Council of the City
of BakerSfield, that the Nominating Municipal Election for' the
office of CounCilmen in the 2nd, 5th and 6th WardS' Of the City of
Bakers field and for the office of three members of the Board of
Education is hereby called and will be held on the 26th day of
February, ,1963, and 'the clerk is hereby authorized to publish the
Notice Of Election.
The polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 A.M.
and 7:00 P.M.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the Cityof Bakersfield at a
regular'meeting thereof held on the 26th' day of December,. 1962,
by the following vote:
