A RESOLUTION~0F THE CITY COUNCIL' 0F'
'THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ACCEPTING THE
.CIVIC AUDITORIUMAS SUBSTANTIALLY
COMPLETED WITH CERTAIN QUALIFICATIONS.
WHEREAS, by Contract Nd'. 64-60 the City'contracted with ,the
General Contractor for the' construction of a civic Auditorium; and
WHEREAS,' with the' .exception of certain' ~'~punch. list itemS"-which
have been filed' in 'the office of City Manager and the Office of Director
of Public Works, the Civic Auditorium has been. completed' pursuant to
said contract 'No. 64-60 and authorize,d change 7orders,/and
WHEREAS,. the General Contractor has agreed that ~the City.may
retain the sum of $100,000 of the.contract price four the. purpose-of
g!~aranteeing the completion 'of 'the a'fore~aid punch lis t items, and
~r~EREAS, it is in the public interest to accept the.I Civic
AuditoriUm~ at this time in 'order to facilitate further 'uSe Of said
Auditorium; '.' ' ~-
NOW "THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by~ the .Council"of the City of.
Bakersfield,' ='
· 1. That. the Civic Auditorium '·is hereby =accepted.as-being
substantially 'completed' except for' punch Iist items On file as
hereinabove set forth.
2. That the sum .of $100,000' is her. eby retained for ·the 'purpose'
oj-~ guarante~ing the completion of 'the aforesaid.'punch list items.
· 3. That the MayOr is hereby authorized to sign 'NOtices Of
Completion in conformity with this .Resolution.-"

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resoluteion was passed
and adopted by the ~ountil of the City of ·Bakersfield .at a;'regular
