A.RESOLUTION OF THE-COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION
FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECALLING THE COUNCIL-
MAN OF WARD 5 OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
WHEREAS, a petition calling for the recall of the
Councilman of the Fifth Ward in the City of Bakers'field has been
duly filed with the City Clerk and certified by the City Clerk as
sufficient and presented to the CoUnCil Of 'the City of Bakersfield
as provided for in the Charter of the City of Baker~'field, and .
WHEREAS, the City Clerk submitted the recall petition to
the Cit-y Council on the 19th day of November, 1962, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 93of the Charter
of the City of Bakersfield, the City Council must call a recall
election not earlier than forty days. nor more than 'Sixty days from
the time 'of presentation to. the City Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, that a special reca~ll election be held and
the same is hereby called to be held in' the Fifth Ward of said
city, for the purpose of recalling 'the Councilman of said ward, which
election shall be held on the 8th day of January , 1963 ·

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed ~nd adopted by the Council 'of the City of Bakers field at a
regular:meeting thereof held on the 26th' day of November, 1962 by
the following vote:
