A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF KERN TO ORDER
THAT PROPOSITION NO. 2 ENTITLED "PUBLIC
' UTILITY REVENUE BONDS' BE WITHDRAWN FROM
THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
'ON NOVEMBER 6, 1962, AND ORDERING THAT
'SAID PROPOSITION· NO. 2 BE REMOVED FROM
THE BALLOT.
· . WHEREAS., .on the" 31st day of August, 1962, this .Council
did pass and adopt ResolUtion N0. 56-62 requesting the Board of
Supervisors of the County .of Kern.to order the consolidation. of a
Special MuniCipal Election with the Sta~e General Election to be held
on NOvember 6,196.1, and. Setting forth the exact form of the propositions'
to be Voted' 6n at ·Such election, as the same are to appear on the
b~llot ,I and· !' ·' ..

Supervisors of the County of Kern,' did pass and adopt. a resolution
ordering that said Municipal election of the City of Bakersfield, be
consolidated with the State General· Election to be held on 'November 6
1962, in accordance with Chapter 4, Par~ 2, Division 12 of the Elections
Code of the State of California, ·and
" WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield~ at its
regular meeting of September 10, 1962, did find and.determine that

2, entitled"PublicZ Utility Revenue Bonds"shall be withdrawn and
removed from the ballot.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:. .-
1. That the' Board of Supervisors Of the County of Kern,
is hereby requested to 'make an order 'directing that the City of Bakers-'
field PropoSition ~2 be withdrawn from the Special'Municipal Election
of the City of Bakersfield to be held on November 6, 1962, and
ordering that said Proposition .~2 be removed from the ballot.
