J3-62 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PUBLIC UTILITIES EA'SEMENT iN BLOCKS 242' AND 243, IN THE'CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA. _.= ~ WHEREAS, on the 16th day 'of july, 1962, the Council of t~e City of Bakersfield,l. pursuant to the pro'visions of the "Public service Easements Vacation Law," being Sections 50430 to 50445,. inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its Resolution .of Intention No. 7.74, declaring its intention to order the vacation of a..pUblic service easement, also referred to herein as a public utilities easement, being Fractional Blocks 242 and 243, situate within the City of Bakers- field, County of Kern,' State of California, and " · ' WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and'piace for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation, which said hearing was held on the 6th day of August, 1962, after notices were duly published. and posted as required by ~aw~ and WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter, does hereby find and resolve as follows:. 1. That said public service easement also referred 'to herein as public utilities easement, hereinafter described, is unnecessary for present or prospective public use: FRACTIONAL BLOCK 242 The alley in Block 242, Kern, as said'alley is shown on that certain map entitled '.'Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California," showing East Bakersfield,-.formerly Sumner, filed in the office of the County Recorder of Kern ~ounty, California, January-12,'1889. FRACTIONAL BLOCK 243 Beginning at the point of intersection of 'the Northerly line of Block 243 and the Westerly line of Sonora Street as 'said Sonora Street was established by deed from J. R. and Delia Willjams, recorded in Book 32, Official Records, at page 299, Records of Kern County.,, California; thence South 29° 07' 50" West, along 'the Westerly line of Sonora Street a distance of 283.21 feet to the Easterly line of Union 'Avenue; thence South 89° 57":130'' East a distance of 28~609 feelt to a point; thence North 29° 07' 50" East a distance of 275.079 feet to a point in the Westerly extension of the SoUtherly line of Alpine Street; thence North 73° 52' 50" West, ~long the Westerly extension of .the Southerly line of Alpine Street a distance of 25.659 feet to the point of beginning. All of the above described-property is as shown on Map of Bakersfield, Kern County, California, recorded January 12', 1889, in Book 1 Of Maps at pages-15 and 16, Records' of Kern County, California. 2. That said public service easement be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned for public ser.vice"easement purposes, subjectto and in conformity with said Resolution Of IntentiOn No. 7.74. Reference· to said Resolution Of Intention is hereby made for further particulars. 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ReSolution, and shall cause a'eertified copy thereof, attested by the Clerk under the seal of the City, 'to be recorded in the office o~. the County.
