A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CI.TY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 48-62.
WHEREAS, on the 16thday of July, 1962. Resolution No.
48-62 o~dering the vacation of a portion of an alley in Block 142
was adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS~ said Resolution was recorded July 25., 1962, being
Document-No. 43603~ in Book 3512, Page 686 of Official Records of
Kern County, California, and
WHEREAS, the legal description of said portion of the alley
in Block 142 contained in Resolution No. 48-62 is incomplete,
NOW, THEREFORE,'BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City.
of Baker'Sfield'that the legal description in Resolution No. 48-62
be .and the same is hereby amended aS follows:
Beginning at th~ northeast corner of Lot 32 of Block
142, thence northwesterly along the southerly line
of the' alley in said Block 142 a distance of 65.57
feet; thence northeasterly to intersect a point in the
nort-h line of the alley, said point being 22.-63 feet
distant northwesterly from the southeast corner of Lot 1
in said Block 142; thence southeasterly along the said'
north line of the alley a distance of 22.63 feet to the
sotLtheast -e_orner~of sai:d Lot 1; thence -sOUthwesterly.
.alohg the southw..esterly prolongation of the east-line
of beginning,-said Lots and Block as per map of .
of Kern", recor~ded January 12, 1889, in Map -Book 1 at
pages 15 and 16, in the office of the' County'Recorder,-
Kern County!., 'Calif'ornia, retaining all of the above
describ'ed parcel'of land for the purpose of a public
utilities easement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage 0f this resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof,
attested by the Clerk under the seal of.the City, to be recorded in
the Office of. the County ReCorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the'Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular
meeting thereof, held on the 6th day of August, 1962, by the
following vote:
