A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL'OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE
VACATION OF A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 1~2,
IN ·SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of june, 1962, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant..to the provisions of· the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part'3, (Sections 8300,
et seq.) of the Streets and Highways· Code of the State of cali-'
fornia, passed and adopted its ReSOlution of Intention No. 772., de-
claring its intention to order the vacation of a portion of an
alley si'tuate within the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
o f Ca li fornia, ·
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time' and· place for
hearing all persons interested'in or Objecting to'said proposed
vacation, which said hearing was held on the 16th day of July,
1962., after Notices were duly posted as required by law, and·
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that portion'of the alley situate in the'City
of Bakersfield, California, County of Kern,-' State. of california
described as follows, is unnecessary for present or 'prospective
-public street pUrpOses:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 32 of Block 142,
thence northwesterly along the southerly line of the .'alley
in said Block 142, a distance of 65.57..feet; thence north-
easterly to intersect a point in the north line of .the
alley, said point' being 22.63 .feet distant northwesterly
from the Southeast corner of Lot 1 in said Block 142;.
thence southwesterly along the southwesterly prolongation
of the east line of Lot 1 to the northeast corner of
Lot 32, the point of beginning, Said Lots and Block as

Map Book 1 at pages 15 and 16, in the office of the. County
Recorder, Kern County, California, retaining all of the
above described parcel of land for the purpose of a
public utilities easement.
2. That said ,portion o2 alley be and the same is hereby
closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes,
subject to and in co. nformity with the reservation of the easement
contained in and .contemplated by said' Resolution of Intention
No.. 772. ReferenCe to said Resolution.of Intention is hereby made
for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify· to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under. the seal of the City, to be recorded in the Office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California,-

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregozng Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of ,the City of Bakers field at a
-regular. .meeting thereof held on the 16th day of July, 1962, by the
following vote:
