A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY'
OF BAKERSFIELD ADOPTING A DRAINAGE'
ELEMENT OF THE BAKERSFIELD ~METROPOLITAN
AREA GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, Section 65469 of the Government Code provides
that a general plan may include a public services and facilities
element, *showing. a drainage plan; and
WHEREAS, .the Planning Commission of the City of Bakers-
field held public hearings on a proposed· d~ainage plan on June 6,
1962 and June 27, 1962, all in accordance with the ' requirements of
Title 7, Chapter 1, Article 8 of the Government Code.; and
WHEREAS, on June 27, 1962 the' Planning· Corf~f~iSsion duly
adopted and certified to the Council of the City of Bakers field a
.map entitled "Drainage Element" and text entitled. "Drainage Element
of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of the
· Government Code, the Council of the City of Bakers field held a
public hearing on said "Drainage Element"' of the Bakersfield ..
Metropolitan Area General Plan on July 16, .19'62; .and
WHEREAS, the Council of 'the City of Bakersfield finds
that the adoption of said "Drainage Element" of the Bakers field
Metropolitan Area General Plan is a necessary and desirable
addition to said General. Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield that the map entitled '.'Drainage Element" and text
· entitled, "Drainage Element of the General Plan" dated June 27,
1962, incorporating therein by reference the "Report on Storm
Drainage .Investi'gation of the Bakers field Drainage District, Kern
County, California, 1954" by Koebig and Koebig, ConSulting Engineers,
a're hereby adopted.

lI HEREBY CERTIFY that' the foregoing ResOlution was
passed and adopted by the council of the city 'of Bakers field at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of July, 1962, by the
following vote:
