A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL 0F. THE CITY. OF
BAKERSFIELD ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF. THE
COUNTY OF KERN FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF A
PORTION OF L STREET BETWEEN TRUXTUN AVENUE'
AND THE SANTA FE RAILWAY TRACKS.
WHEREAS, the City of Bakers field intends to improve "L"
Street from the southerly curb line of Truxtun AvenUe,· s.outh to a
point two feet north of the northernmost railway track Of the
Santa'Fe Railway Crimpany, as said track crosses .':L" Street; and
WHEREAS, on the 19th day .of·. June, 19.62', the Board of
Supervisors of the Count~' bf Kern passed 'its res0iU~ion ·offering
to assist the City of Bakersfield in the improvement of a·portion
Of the aforesaid improvement; and
WHEREAS, said resolution provided for contribution of
funds in the amount of Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars
($5,750.00) subject to certain conditions, to'Wit, the plans and·
specifiCatiOns must be approved by the Kern County Road'Commissioner
and the improvement must be completed within six'months of June 19,
1'962.
.: NOW, THEREFORE~ -BE IT RESOLVED by the Council ·of the
.City of Bakersfield that the offer of assistance for the improvement
of a portion of "L" Street in the City 'of Bakers field· by the COUnty
of Kern is hereby accepted; and that
The terms and conditions set ·.forth in the Resolution of
/ the Board of Supervisors of the County of .Kern, ·said resolution
being identified as AssiStance to the City of Bakersfield FOr .·

Improvement of Portion of "L" Street~ dated the i9th day of June,
1962~ is hereby accepted and said resolution is hereby made a part
.of this resolution the same as if fully' set forth herein...
