A RESOLUTION OFTHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE '
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING
AND ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE BIrDGET FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR1962-63.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of
Bakersfield and applicable Ordinances, the City Manager and the
Finance Director of the City of'. Bakersfield, have heretofore pre-
sented to the City Council of said City a proposed tentative budget
for the fiscal year 1962-63; and ·
WHEREAS, the City Council did modify, Correct, amend and
change said proposed tentative bu'dget for the fiscal year 1962-63;
and. , ·
WHEREAS., public hearings were held in the Council
Chambers of the City of Bakersfield on the proposed tentative
budget for 'the fiscal year 1962-63; and.
WHEREAS, said City Council ha~ now considered the said
proposed tentative budget as so submitted and all ,evidence adduced
at said public hearing, with reference thereto, and has now made
all changes and amendments thereto which said City Council up to
this time desires to make therein; and
WHEREAS, the original of ~aid proposed tentative budget
has now been revised so as to reflect 'each and all of the amendmentS,
changes and modifications which the said City Council up to the
time of the adoption of this resolution, believes should be made
in said proposed tentative budget as so submitted;.'
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:

tentative budget for the City of Bakers field, California,' for the
.fiscal year 1962-63' as so submitted, amended, modified and'cor-
rected and which, as so Submitted, amended, modified and'corrected
is now..before this Council,.be placed on file in the office of the
City Clerk'of the City of Bakersfield, California, open to public
inspection, and that as so on file the same be andit is'hereby'
referred'to and by this reference expressly incorporated'herein
and made a part hereof. ..
SECTION 2. That said 'City Council of said'City of
Bakersfield, California, does hereby approve'and adopt th'e said
proposed tentative budget of the City of Bakersfield, California,
for the .fiscal year 1962-63 as.so amended, modified and corrected.
· . SECTION 3. That the said budget for-said fiscal year
1962-63 so submitted, amended, modified, corrected and filed shall
be the tentative budget for the City of Bakers field, California
for said 'fiscal year 1962-63 as contemplated to be made by this
Council under the requirements of Section 53 of the Charter of said
City.
SECTION 4. That said'City Councilldoes hereby order and
instruct that no department of said City shall be allowed to
purchase any capital items of equipment or proceed with any public
works project except those as approved in the said tentative
budget hereby approved and adopted, without. the' further.approval
of said-City Council first had and Obtained+thereto.
SECTION 5. 'That the City Clerk shall Certify to the
adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter,, the
same shall be in full force .and effect·

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield· at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 25th day of'June, 1962, by the
following vote:
