RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF' .:
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF
THE DEDICATION OF VEHICULAR ACCESS TO
UNIVERSITY AVENUE FOR LOTS 150-164, IN-
CLUSIVE, 'TRACT· 2'324, CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.'
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of May, 1962,'~ the' Council of the
City of Bakersfield, pursuant to th'e provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act o'f 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
· Resolution of Intention No. 771, declaring its intention to Order'
the abandonment of the dedication of vehicular access to University
Avenue for Lots 150-164, inclusive~ Tract 2324~ situate within the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, and
'WHEREAS, said Council· did fix a time and·place for hearing
all persons interested in·or objecting .to said proposed abandonment,
which said hearing was held on the 4th day of June,' ·1962, after
notices were· duly posted as. required by law, and-
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter, does
hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that certain dedication of vehicular ac~ss to
University'Avenue' for Lots 150~164, inclusive, Tract 2324, ·situate
within the City of Bakersfield, CoUnty of ·Kern, State of California,
as shown on the final subdivision map of Tract 2324, filed for
.reCord on May 4, 1961 in' Book 11 of Maps at page 186 in the office
0f' the Recorder of the County of. Kern, is unnecessary. for present
or prospective public street· purposes.
2. That said dedication of ad~c~ss rights be and the same
'is hereby released, surrendered and abandoned for all 'purpoSes,
· subjeCt to and in conformity..with ResolUtion of Intention No. 771.
Reference to said resolution is' hereby made for further 'particulars.

3. That the City Clerk shall certify ito. the'passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by the
~Clerk under the seal-Of the City to be recorded in the office of
the County Recorder of the County of Kern, .California.
