RESOLUTION OF THE .COUNCIL OF THE CITY
BAKERSFIELD REQUESTING THE' BOARD OF SUPER-
VISORS OF THE COUNTY OF KERN TO PERMIT THE
COUNTY CLERK .TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO
SAID CITY ·RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF THE.
SPEC!~ MIrNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
J~NE'5.~ 196.2.
Pursuant to Section 22003 of the Elections Code of 'the State
of California, the Council of the City of Bakersfield.does hereby
RESOLVE, as follows:
t. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Kern,
State of California, is hereby requested to permit the County Clerk
of.. said County to perform the following services for the City of
Bakers field relating to the conduct of the Spe'cial Municipal
Election to be held in said city on June. 5, 1962.

(a) Prepare and send out appointments to one inspector,
one judge and two clerks as election' Officers for each. precinct for
the Special Municipal' Election 'and make any substitutions necessary.
The officers. who' are to be appointed shall be registered electors
of 'the City.
(b) Publish list of names' of the election officers appointed
and the polling places designated for each election·preCinct. Such
designated City officers are to be ·designated as such on County
Clerk' s publication
(c) In·corporate the proposition to. be voted on at the
Spe~a-1 Municipal EleCtion on June 5, 1962 in the ballot to be

used in the State Direct Primary Election on the same date.
(d) '. CanVass ballots and returns and furnish City with
certifi.ed copies of the results..'

I: HEREBY CERTIFY that .the 'foregOing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakers field at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 26th day' of March, 1962, by the
fo 1 lowing vote:
