HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 20-62RESOLUTION 20-62 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD APPLYING FOR ADDITIONAL STATE MATCHING FUNDS FOR URBAN EXTENSION PROJECT ON "H" STREET BETWEEN BRUNDAGE LANE AND TRUXTUN AVENUE. .WHEREAS, said Section 143.3 Of Streets and HighWays Code authorizing the expenditure Of certain+- State Funds for improvement of Urban Extension of Federal Aid Secondary 'Highways,· and WHEREAS, on August 1, 1960, the City Council of the Ci. ty of Bakers field adopted Resoluti0~ 76-6·0 applying for State matching funds in ,the amount of $94,150.00 for use on "H" Street between Brundage Lane and Truxtun Avenue, and . r· WHEREAS, on Augus.t 23,.. 1960, California Highway Commission ~approved said application and included in its budget the said sum of $94,150.00 for the State,s share of 'the.improvement.of "H" Street, and. '- WHEREAS,. the City of Bakers field entered into Local Agency-State · Agreemen't .,N.o.U.E. 62-9 for Urban'Extension'PrOject VI-'Ker-Bkd. FAS'~ 882, UE-1 on November 27, 1961, setting forth the sum of"$94,150.00, and !' WHEREAS, 'detailed engineering studies now indicate the total cost will be $346,000.00, of which the State's' share would be $173,000,00, , NOW} THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that' the City of Bakers field hereby applies for the additional amount of $78,850.00 under provisions of Section .!43.3 of the Streets and Highways Code· for use on" "H" Street, between Brundage Lane and Truxtun Avenue. i=%. - ........ o00 'I HEREBY'CERTIFY that· the foregoing Resolution was passed and adoptedby the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a· regular meeting thereof held onlthe 19theday of March, 1962, by the following vote: ABSENT~ ~ _', ~ ~ ' · ABSTAINING~ ' CITY~dI~.~~ ~xLOfficio' Clerk of the Council of the City of Bakersfield.
