A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE
VACATION OF AN ALLEY LYING WITHIN BLOCK
306, INSAID CITY. : .
WHEREAS, on the 18th day Of December, i96i, the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, pursuant ~p'the' provisions .of the' "Street
Vacation Act of 1-941," being Di~isi0n 9, part 3, ('sections 8300, et
seq.). of.the Streets and,~.Highwa~'s~Code of the'State 0f~Cali'fornia,
passed ·and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 766~ declaring its
intention-to order the vacation of an alley situate ·'within the City of
Bakersfield, County Of Kern, State of California,
· WHEREAS, said Counc{1 did. fix.a time and place for 'hearing all
persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation, which
said he, aring was. held on .the 8th day of January, 1962, after Notices
were" duly posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter, does
hereby find and resolve as follows:
t. That 'that alley situate in the City of Bakersfield,
California, County of Kern, State of California described .as· follows,
is unnecessary for .present or prospective public. street 'purpOses:
The wes~ seventy f~e'et (70.'). Qf the east one hundred and
sixty-five feet (165') of the east-west alley in Block
306, City of 'Bakersfield, as shoWn on the map of Bakers-
field filed for .re'cord November 25, 1898 in Map Book 1
at Pages 13 and 14,"Records of Kern County, California.
'Easement - Reserve to .City all utility easements.
2. That said' alley be and the same 'is hereby closed up,
vacated and .abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in

said Resolution of-Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, a'ttested by the
Clerk under the seal of the City, t0 be recorded in the Office of
the County Recorder o'f the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was .passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Baker'sfield at a regular meeting
