RESOLUTION 0F. THE COUNCIL OF THE'CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, ORDERING' THE VACATION OF A. "
PORTION OF. UNIVERSITY AVENUE IN THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of NoVember, 1961,'the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the ·provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 765, declaring its intention' to order the
vacation of a portion of University Avenue, City of Bakers field,
California, and
WHEREAS, said Council did. fix a time and place for hearing all
persons interested' in or objecting to Said proposed. vacation, which
said hearing was ·held on the 18th day of December, 1961,. after notices
were duly ~o'sted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter, does
hereby .find and resolve as follows:
1. That that portion of University Avenue·, situate within the
City of Bakers field, County of Kern, State of California, and being a
portion· of the northwest quarter (N.W. 1/4 of Section 15, Township
29 South, Range 28'East, M.D.M., more particularly described as
follows, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street
purposes:
Commencing at the southwest corner of the northwest quarter
.(N.W. 1/4) of said Section 15; thence N. 0° 14" 46" W., along
the westerly boundary of said Section. 15, a distance of
63.45 feet; thence N. 89° 45' 14" E., 95.00 feet to the true
point of beginning for this description; thence southeasterly
along a tangent curve concave to the northeast (and as
described by that certain Deed recorded September 25, 1958,
in.. Book 30.12 ~t pa.g_e_.58,~ Official Records' of--said Kern County)_
21", a distance of 31.49 feet to a point of cusp; thence
S. 89° 31' 53" W., 27.50 feet to'a point··from'zwhich~the
radial center of' the following described curve bears N.~'0e-
28' 07" W., 'distant 20 feet; -thence nor. thwester!y along said
curve, concave to the northeast with a radius of 20 feet,
through a central angle of 90°- 13' 21.", .a ·distance of 31.49
feet to a point ·of tangency; thence N. 89° .45' 14" E., a
distance of 27.50 feet to the .true point of beginning for
-this description.
2. That said portion of University Avenue be and the same is
hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for .p. ublic street .purposes,
SubjeCt to and in conformity with said Resolution of-Intention No.
765. Reference to said ResolutiOn.of Intention is hereby·made 'for
further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof,-fattested by the
Clerk under the seal of the City to be re'Corded in the office-of
the County Recorder of the Co.unty of Kern., California..

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution 'was passed and
