A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD EXPRESSING ITS SUPPORT OF
THE JUNIOR ROSE BOWL FOOTBALL GAME'AND
COMMENDING THE BAKERSFIELD RENEGADE
FOOTBALL TEAM.
WHEREAS, the PaSadena Junior Chamber of Commerce is sponsor'ing
the annual Junior Rose Bowl Football Game to-be presented December 9,
1961, and
WHEREAS, the Junior RoSe Bowl Football Game is a~' outstanding
sports attraction Which brings to the playing field the finest
Junior College football players' from throughout the United States, and
'WHEREAS, the proceeds of the Junior Rose Bowl Football Game are
to be donated to worthy charities, and.
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Renegade Football'Team is rated as
one of the most outstanding Junior College football teams in the
United States,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT.RESOLVED by .the Council.zof the City of
Bakersfield .that the Council extends its wholehearted support to
the Junior Rose Bowl Football Game and highly Commends the Bakers field
· Renegade Football Team.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the .Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 4th day of December, 1961, by the following vote:
