A RESOLUTION OF ITHE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR. t
HEARING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL
PROPERTY WITHIN TERRITORY 'DESIGNATED AS
"GANNON NO 2" PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED. TO
THE CITY. OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed With the CounCil of the City of
Bakers field on the 15th day of November, 1961, requesting' that certain
uninhabited territory therein' described be annexed. to and incorporated
within the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the 'owners of .all of the
territory proposed to be annexed. ·
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the p~ovisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territ6ry Act of 1939, chapter 297, as
amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the-City'of .Bakersfield, as
fo 1 lows:
That the boundaries of theterritory.sopropo,sed to be annexed
to the City. of Bakersfield are described as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California,
and being a portion of the northeast quarter (N.E.1/4) of Section 19,
Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.M:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of TRACT NO. 2146, as per .map'
recorded July 16, 1958, in Book 10 of. Maps at pages
27 and 28, in .the office of the County Recorder of
said Kern County, a point on the 'Westerly right-of-'
way line of Union Avenue, of 115.5 feet in width,
said point of beginning also being'a point'on .the
current corporate boundary of the City 0fBakerSfield;
THENCE (1)' N.89° 14' 40" W., along the northerly boundary~of
said TRACT NO. 2146, on and along said corporate
boundary as same is defined' by Ordinance No. 1184,
New Series, a distance of 140.00 feet-to a point;
THENCE
N. 0° 13' 15" E., parallel with the easterly boundary
of said Section 19, departing from the corporate
boundary of the City of Bakersfield, a 'distance. of
:.20*0.00 fee-t to--a· point-·; .......... . ...............................................
THENCE (3)
S. 89° 14' 40" E., a distance of 140.00.feet,
intersect the westerly'right-of-way line of said
Union Avenue, a pointon the current corporate
boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
THENCE (4) S. 0' 13' 15" W., along last..named westerly right-of-
way line, on and along said corporate boundary of
the City of 'Bakersfield, as same is defined by Ordinance
No. 984, New Series, a .diStance of 200.00 feet, to
the Northeast corner of said TRACT NO. 2146, the.
point of beginning, containing-0.643 acres of land',
mo~e or less. ~
That a designation approp.riately naming such territory is
"'GANNON NO. '2," ' ' '
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Tuesday, .'~he "2nd day of January,
1962, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., in the CoUncil Chambers of
the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun AVenue, Bakersfield, California, is the
time when and the place where any person owning real property within
such territory so proposed 'to be annexed and having any objections to
the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of
]Bakersfield and show cause why such territory should not be annexed.

I HEREBY 'CERTIFY that the 'foregoing Resolution· was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of .Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the"20th day of November, 1961, by the following vote:
