WHEREAS, it is the desire of some of the members of the Council
and other officers of the City, to attend the Conference of the League
of California Cities to be held in San Francisco on October 23, 24,
and 25, 1961, and
WHEREAS, the absence of the members of the Council during said
week will make it impossible to have a quorum for a meeting of the
Council, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to not hold a meeting
on Monday, October 23, 1961.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, that no meeting of said Council shall be held on Monday,
October 23, 1961, and that the next regular meeting of said Council
shall be held on Monday, October 30, 1961.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by' the Council of the City of Bakers field at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 9th day of October, 1961, by the following vote:
