A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ACKNOWLEDGING THE RECEIPT OF A
COPY OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE
PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY
· DESIGNATED AS "STOCKDALE GARDENS NO. 1",
AND AN AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION THEREOF, AND
APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF THE PETITION.
WHEREAS, on October 2, 1961, there was filed with the City
Clerk of the City of Bakers field a copy of Notice of Intention to
Circulate Petition Relating to Annexation of Certain Territory to
the City of Bakersfield under the Annexation Act of 1913 pertaining
to territory designated as Stockdale Gardens No. 1, together with
an affidavit of publication of said notice showing publication thereof
on September 30, 1961, in .the Bakersfield Californian, a newspaper
of general circulation published in the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that 'the legis-
lative body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of the
notice and approving the circulation of the petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakers fie ld:
1. That the receipt of the notice and affidavit of publication
be and the same is hereby acknowledged, and that approval be and is
hereby given for the circulation of the petition for annexation of
that certain territory designated as Stockdale Gardens No. 1 twenty-
one days after the publication of said notice.
2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
re so lution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakers field at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 2nd day of October, 1961, by the following vote:
AYES: BALFANZ, .r~, CROES, DOOUN, MARCHBANKS, MOSSMAN, STIERN
NOES:
