RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE
GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE DISTRICT
A PORTION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS
"PANORAMIC HEIGHTS NO. 1", AND SETTING THE TIME
AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE IN-
CLUSION OF SAID TERRITORY WITHIN SAID DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced for the annexation of
certain unincorporated territory, designated as "Panoramic Heights
No. 1", to the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, a portion of said territory'lies outside the Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, provides that the unincorporated territory of a
county which was not included within a separation of grade district at
the time of the formation of such district, and which subsequent to
the formation of such district is annexed to or otherwise included
within a city which is a part of such district, shall immediately upon
such annexation to such city be included within the district and shall
thereafter become a part of the district to the same extent as such
city; except such portion or portions thereof which the City Council
has determined, will not be benefited by inclusion in the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakers field, as follows:
1. That a description of the portion of unincorporated
territory described in the annexation proceedings, is as follows:
Beginning at the southwest (S.W.) corner of Section 10, Township 29
South, Range 28 East, M.D.M., in the County of. Kern, State of Cali-
fornia, a point in a northerly boundary of the said "Greater Bakers-
field Separation of Grade District";
THENCE (1) easterly along last named northerly boundary, along the
southerly boundary of said Section 10, to intersect the easterly
boundary of the southwest quarter (S.W. 1/4), of the southeast quarter
(S.E. 1/4), of said Section 10;

northerly along last named easterly boundary to intersect
a line parallel with, distant 55 feet northerly as
measured perpendicular to the southerly boundary of the
southeast quarter (S.E. 1/4), of said Section 10;

westerly departing from the boundary of the said "Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade District," along last
named parallel line to intersect the easterly boundary of
the southwest quarter (S.W. 1/4),. of said Section 10;

northerly along last named easterly boundary' to the north-
east (N.E.) corner of the southeast quarter (S.E. 1/4),
of the southwest quarter (S.W. 1/4), of said Section 10,
a point in the southerly boundary of the right-of-way of
County Road No. 1774, as same is described by that "Action
Superior Court No. 6 filed in the office of the
County Clerk of said Kern County, September 26, 1957, in
Book 105, Page 368, Civil Orders and Decrees;

S. 89° 42' 58" W., along said southerly boundary of the
right-of-way of County Road No. 1774, along the northerly
boundary of the southeast uarter (S.E. 1/4), of the
southwest quarter, (S.W. 1~4), of said Section 10, a
distance of 41,615 feet, to intersect a curve, a point of
non-tangency, from which the radial center of the
following described curve bears N. 45° 28' 06" W., distant
1150 feet;

southwesterly along said curve, concave to the northwest,
with a radius of 1150 feet, through a central angle of
21° 40' 34", a distance of 435,067 feet to a point of
tangency, from which the radial center of last named
curve bears N. 23° 47' 32" W., distant 1150 feet;

S. 66° 12' 28" W., along a tangent course a distance of
161.'62 feet;

S. 70° 41' 30" W., along a non-tangent course a distance
of 767.469 feet to a point, from which the radial center
of the following described curve bears N. 23° 47' 32" W.,
distant 1102 feet;

southwesterly along said curve, concave to the northwest,
with a radius of 1102 feet, through a central angle of
23° 00' 00", a distance of 442.371 feet to a point of
tangency, from which the radial center of last named
curve bears N. 0° 47' 32" W., distant 1102 feet;

S. 89° 12' 28" W., along a tangent course a distance of
of 174.00 feet to a point, from which the radial center of
the following described curve bears S. 0° 47' 32" E.,.
distant 898 feet;
THENCE (11)
southwesterly along said curve, concave to the southeast,
with a radius of 898 feet, through a central angle of
34 ° 01' 45", a distance of 533,341 feet to a point of
tangency, from which the radial center of last named
curve bears S. 34° 49'. 17" E., distant 898 feet;
THENCE (12) N. 34° 49' 17" W., a distance of 180.00 feet to intersect
the northwesterly. boundary of the right-of-way of said
County Road No. 1774;
THENCE (13) S. 55° 10' 43" W., along last named northwesterly 'boundary,
a distance of 204,643 feet to intersect the easterly
boundary of Section 9, Township 29 SQuth, Range 28 East,
M.D.M., distant thereon N. 0° 31' 19" W., 549,583 feet
from the southeast (S.E.) corner of said Section 9;
THENCE (14) S. 55° 14' 01" W., departing from said County Road No.
1774, (the basis of bearing being N. 0° 28' 01" W., as
given for the easterly boundary of said Section 9,
according to' that certain instrument filed for record
November 19, 1951, in Book No. 1868, page 143, Official
Records of said Kern County) along a tangent course
694.80 feet to a point, from which the radial center of
the following described curve bears N. 34° 45' 59" W.,
distant 2930.073 feet;
THENCE (15) southwesterly along said curve, concave to the northwest
with a radius of 2930.073 feet to intersect the southerly
boundary of said Section 9, a point in a northerly boundary
of the said "Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade
District";
THENCE (16) easterly along last named northerly boundary, along said
southerly boundary of Section 9, to the southwest (S.W.)
corner of said Section 10, and to the point of beginning
of this description.
2. That unless any portion shall be excluded by the City
Council, all portions of said unincorporated territory shall upon
annexation to the City of Bakers field be included within the Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade District.
3. That Monday, the 6th day of November, 1961, at the hour of
eight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501
Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the
place where, objections to inclusion within the district will be
heard.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular meeting
