A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING THE FISCAL AGENT TO
WITHDRAW CERTAIN FUNDS FROM THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD OFF-STREET PARKING SURPLUS REVE-
NUE FUND AND TO PAY SAID FUNDS TO THE CITY
TREASURER.
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield has entered into an agreement
with the County of Kern to purchase certain real property known as the
'fold County Jail Site" located at 800 Truxtun Avenue within the City
of Bakersfield, and described as follows: Block 292, Lots 1-8, in-
clusive; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield intends to exchange the "old
County Jail Site" for a certain parcel of real property owned by the
United States Government, .bounded by 21st, 22nd, M and N Streets,
within the City of Bakersfield, and described as follows: Block 190,
Lots 1-8, inclusive; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 75-55 authorizing the issuance of City of
Bakersfield Off-Street Parking Revenue .Bonds provides in Section 5.08
(6) "Surplus Revenue Fund" that "... the Fiscal Agent shall set aside,
or pay over to the Treasurer of the City~ as directed by a resolution of
the Council, any or all moneys in the Surplus Revenue Fund, which said
moneys shall be used' and withdrawn by the Fiscal Agent or used and
withdrawn by the Treasurer of the City, as the case may be, only for
any one or more of the following purposes: ... (b) For payment by the
Treasurer of the City of .the cost of extensions or improvements of the
project "' and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield intends to use the parcel of
real property to be acquired from the United States Government for the
purpose of providing Off-Street VehicUlar Parking Facilities to be
included within the "Project" as defined in Section 1.01 (k) of
Resolution No. 75-55; and
WHEREAS., the purchase price of the "County Jail Site" is the
sum of one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000)~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield that the Fiscal Agent, Crocker-Anglo National Bank, No. 1
Sansome Street, San Francisco 20, California, be and hereby is authorized
to transfer one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) from the
Surplus Revenue Fund to the Treasurer of the City of Bakersfield and
the Treasurer is hereby authorized to apply said sum to the purchase
of a certain parcel of real property hereinabove referred to as. the
"old County Jail Site."

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the llth day of September, 1961, by the following vote:
