RESOLUTION ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS "OSWELL NO. 2" TO THE
GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did, on the
7th day of August, 1961, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 79-61,
to include certain property designated as "Oswell No. 2", within the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and setting the
time and place for hearing objections to the inclusion of said terri-
tory within said District, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and legally
published once a week for two weeks, the first publication thereof
being at least twenty days prior to the date of the hearing as pro-
vided by law, and
WHEREAS, Monday, the llth day of September, 1961, at the hour
of 8:00 o'clock P.M., was set as the time for hearing objections to
the inclusion of said territory within said District, and
WHEREAS, no objection has been filed or presented to said
Council to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof'within
the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and the Council
further finds that all of said territory will be benefited by its
inclusion within said District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND THE COUNCIL DOES HEREBY FIND:
That no objection to the inclusion of said territory or any
part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade
District, has been filed or presented to this Council.
That said territory and every part thereof be, and the same is
hereby annexed Co and included within the said Greater Bakersfield
Separation of Grade District upon completion of annexation of said
territory to the City of Bakersfield, which said territory is described
as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California and
being a portion of Section 14, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.M.
Beginning at the Northeast (NE) corner of the Northwest quarter (NW 1/4)
of the Southwest quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section 14, said point of
beginning also being a point in the corporate boundary of the City of
Bakersfield as same is defined by Ordinance No. 1354, New Series:

westerly along said corporate boundary and along the northerly
line of the Northwest quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southwest
quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section 14 to the Northwest (NW)
corner of the East .half (E 1/2) of the Northwest quarter
(NW 1/4) of the Southwest quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section
14;
(2)
southerly along the westerly line of the East half (E 1/2)
of the Northwest quarter (NW.1/4) of the Southwest quarter
(SW 1/4) of said Section 14 to the southerly line of the
Northwest quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southwest quarter (SW 1/4)
of said Section 14;

easterly, departing from said corporate boundary, along the
said southerly line of the Northwest quarter (NW 1/4) of
the Southwest quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section 14 to the
easterly line of the Northwest quarter (NW 1/4) of the
Southwest quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section 14;
THENCE (4)
northerly along the easterly line of the Northwest quarter
(NW 1/4) of the Southwest quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section
14 to the point of beginning, containing twenty acres of
land more or less.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the llth day of September, 1961, by the following vote:
