A RESOLUTION FINDING THAT CERTAIN WEEDS GROWING
ON THE PROPERTY AT 804 MONTEREY STREET'. CONSTITUTE
A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING THE SUPERINTENDENT
OF STREETS TO DESTROY SAID WEEDS.
WHEREAS, on June 19, 1961, a public hearing was held before
the City Council in order to determine if the property located at
804 Monterey 'Street in the City of Bakersfield had become a public
nuisance, and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property were duly notified of
the time and place of said hearing in accordance with the require-
ments of Section 8.80 of the Bakers field Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, after hearing oral testimony the City Council de-
termined that the weeds existing on said property are unsightly
and constitute a fire hazard which endangers adjoining properties,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the City Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby
finds that a public nuisance exists on the property at 804 Monterey
S tree t.
2. That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Bakers-
field is hereby directed to proceed with the work of abating said
public nuisance pursuant to the provisions of Section .8.80 .of the'
Bakers field Municipal Code.

I HEREBY CERTIFY. that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted.by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular
meeting thereof, held on'the 26th day of June, 1961, by the follow-
ing vote:
