A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
BAKERSFIELD WITHDRAWING OBJECTIONS TO
ELECTRIC CROSSING ARM GUARDS ON BAKER
STREET ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC
TRACKS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield heretofore
caused to be filed a formal protest with the Public Utilities Com-
mission of the State of California to the construction of electric
crossing arm guards on Baker Street in the vicinity of the Southern
Pacific Railroad Tracks, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such protest, the Public Utilities
Corf~fLission caused hearings to be held in Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, at the hearings, modifications were to the satisfaction
of the City of Bakersfield and affected citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Bakersfield that the objections previously entered by the City of
Bakersfield be and are hereby withdrawn to the establishment of
electric crossing arm guards on Baker Street in the City of Bakersfield
as proposed by Southern Pacific Railroad Company at the hearings above
set forth.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakers field at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 19th day of June, 1961, by the following vote:
